Zoe Saldana (born June 19 1978) was born to Asalia Saldana & Aridio Saldana, who reside in Passaic New Jersey. His father was Dominican, and her mother Puerto Rican. Her mother is from Puerto Rico and her father is Dominican. The family she was born into moved to Dominican Republic at the age of 10 where they would spend the next seven year. Zoe began to develop a fascination to dance while in the Dominican Republic. She began training with the ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy in which she was able to study dance and various forms of dance. Not only did her training give her a chance to express the energetic and enthusiastic youngster and her family, but it was also proving to be a fortunate precursor to the professional career of an actor. Zoe relocated along with her parents to the United States at age 17 where she developed an increased desire to dance and it was there where her love for theatre productions grew. Zoe is not only an established star in the motion picture business, but she has been praised and admired by people who know her like Steven Spielberg and Jerry Bruckheimer along with actors and actresses including Tom Hanks and Bernie Mac.
